Bergen

Carmel and I at the top of Bergen

The most amazing junk shop: it had everything!

It is big, and has many rooms inside. I sooo wanted to buy stuff (light fittings like boat lamps) but I knew it would be too difficult to get them home.

This was a gallery of iPad art, (abstract), printed on paper, mounted and for sale at about 30 euros each.
I bought one.

Artist is Katrine Lund.

Another painting! Old town at Bergen has beautiful colours.

I want this boat.. only 800 euros!

Bob standing out of the wind as we sailed through the Sognefjord.

Sky reflections

Blue water, green land. The colours were so powerful and strong.

Classic sun.

Carmel worked hard the whole trip. Her photos will be good!

Houses with views.

Bob's little mate.

Low sun makes the light warm.

Our hotel room was on the top floor. Great views.

The view from our room in Bergen.

I found my fellow travellers in the bar!

Late at night, Bob is downloading his images.
This was done every night of the 5.5 weeks.

Bergen at dusk.

Bergen was our last city. We flew back to Paris, stayed one night near the airport, then tackled the 24 hour flight home.

This was the view flying over Norway. Still a lot of snow at the end of May.

Here is the view near Paris.

At Abu Dhabi Bob was shipped in a wheel chair: this enabled us to be fast forwarded past the millions waiting to get through customs. (But still, a 2 hour wait on the plane before takeoff!)

Hours of sleep later, we wake to this view over South Australia.
I'm sure I can see water in Lake Eyre in the distance.

Customs ... welcome to Sydney!

So we arrived home on the 26th May, 2012.
It was a fabulous tour. I am happy to be home, but can't wait to go again.

till next time,
au revoir.
